Do you have a patient facing app

We have an intake that patients can complete remotely prior to an appointment or as part of an eVisit. This intake can also be used for patient follow ups to determine treatment plan progression. However, we do not currently support other patient interactions nor do we support showing results directly to patients without clinician input.

How do you compare to other apps

Dermatic can analyze an image and return the results in seconds. Most other apps require users to answer a series of questions (e.g. to perform a differential diagnosis) which is often not practical in a clinical setting. Some apps focus on specific conditions (e.g. cancer) whereas Dermatic generalizes to common conditions that impact healthcare operations. Many apps target patients as users while others target dermatologists. Dermatic supports care coordination across primary care and specialists while addressing in-clinic, eVisit, and eConsult workflows. We also support patient follow-ups once the encounter is over. Our integration with existing clinical workflows and support across the care continuum provides a unique and meaningful value proposition. We started Dermatic by partnering with health systems to understand current pain points first, then innovate on how technology can help address those pain points.

The store-and-forward workflow quickly surfaced as an opportunity for AI to be a force multiplier. Multiple studies show that primary care can effectively treat low acuity dermatology with asynchronous support from specialists. Introducing AI can scale specialists further in support of primary care. We worked across partners to build a solution that was generalizable. The result was the Dermatic platform for in-clinic, eVisit, and eConsult workflows.
